SID

Scheme Information Document

Most detailed document for a specific scheme. Contains:

  • Investment Objective: what the scheme aims to achieve
  • Asset Allocation: distribution across asset classes
  • Risk Factors: all material risks of the scheme
  • SEBI Riskometer: risk level from Low to Very High
  • Total Expense Ratio (TER): annual charges as % of AUM
  • Exit Load: redemption charges before specified period
  • Fund Manager: name, experience, other schemes managed
SAI

Statement of Additional Information

Statutory information common to all schemes of a mutual fund:

  • Constitution and legal structure of the Mutual Fund
  • Rights of unit holders (investors)
  • Investment restrictions as per SEBI regulations
  • Tax treatment of mutual fund investments
  • Investor grievance redressal mechanism
KIM

Key Information Memorandum

A concise 2 to 4 page summary of the SID covering investment objective, asset allocation, plans, minimum investment amounts, exit load and scheme Riskometer.

Start with the KIM, but always read the full SID before investing.
